The Paris Daughter by Kristin Harmel
My heart! This book is about sacrifice and the immense grief and loss that war times caused.
This is the story of two young mothers in war torn France during WWII. The story unfolds as mothers make sacrifices to keep their children safe.
I loved this book even though it made me cry. As a mom of young kids, stories like this just hit different! This focuses more on motherhood and sacrifice rather than war details. It also shows more of what came after the war as people tried to rebuild their lives. It was heartbreaking, but such a great story. There were also several twists and turns that made it interesting. Grab a box of tissues and enjoy!
