My absolute favorite read of 2023 so far. WHAT A RIDE. I loved the competition aspect!! Cunning and powerful dragons + their bond to riders had me squealing with delight. One of those books that you finish a chapter and need to immediately phone a friend cause EEEEKK!!! I adored Violet and always love a highly intelligent FMC who is seriously tough.
The romance picks up on the second half of the book and THAT ENDING?! I'm already excited for my reread before Iron Flame is released. If you loved hunger games then try this as the high fantasy adult version.
