The Things We Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros

On Kindle Unlimited! Scarlett and Jameson I will remember you forever! The 1940’s timeline had my heart ripped into pieces. I wanted to speed through everything else to get back to their story and was so invested in them.

The book is told in alternating timelines. Twenty-eight-year-old Georgia Stanton has to start over after she gave up everything in a brutal divorce. She finds herself meeting Noah Harrison, the arrogant bestselling romance author determined that he’s the perfect fit to finish her grandmother’s final novel. As they read Scarlett’s words, they start to realize why her grandmother never finished the book in the first place- it’s based on her real-life romance with a WWII pilot, and there’s not a happy ending.

This book made me cry. I loved the 1940’s timeline and it deserved 5 stars!! I had a harder time connecting with the present day timeline which made this book tricky for me to review. Scarlett and Jameson stole the show! Overall I’d say a solid 4 stars. I’d recommend reading it! I’m having so much fun discovering more of Rebecca Yarros writing after falling head over heels for Fourth Wing this year.
