The Things We Cannot Say by Kelly Rimmer

Five amazing, tear jerking stars for me. This is one of my all time favorite books! I’m pretty sure I tried to bring it up in casual conversation for a week after (in very unnatural ways😂).

This told such a beautiful story about sacrifice, finding yourself, love, and looking at your life from a different perspective. Two stories are linked together by a woman and the truth she couldn’t tell until the end of her life. I loved the jump back and forth from WWII to present day and the two points of view. There is also a bit of a mystery mixed in as one of the characters is trying to unveil the truth about her grandmothers life.

I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a WWII novel (and even those who typically don’t). I loved it all and thought about it for days after!

Perfect if you like:

  • WWII novels.

  • Jumps between past and present.

  • A tear jerker.
