The Good Part by Sophie Cousens

Awe this is a big YES from me!! I laughed out loud, cried, and the themes of marriage + motherhood hit close to home. I loved the touch of magic and that it starts out light/ heavy on the laughter but as we progress through the story we work through much heavier topics. We get a bit of romance, magical realism and women's fiction with this book!

Lucy is struggling to make it through the ups and downs of her twenties. She makes a wish and wakes up 16 years later but doesn't remember how she got there. As you can imagine there are some big life events that happen in these 16 years and I suggest checking trigger warnings before you begin (or you can DM me). I won't include them here because they are major plot points and discussed heavily throughout the book- so they would be major spoilers!

Great on audio! I'd recommend that format. I only knocked it down a star because it felt a touch too long.
