Ok, I don’t know why, but this one was so hard for me to rate! I feel like I could have rated it anywhere between a 2.5 and 4.5. A week later, I’m settling on 4⭐️.
This is a mix of hunger games, the bachelor, and ACOTAR! There is drama, romance, plot twists, and life threatening trials. The main character, Lor, is the best and so fun to root for. It had a slower start for me, but once I got going, I couldn’t put it down!
Lor is unexpectedly swept away from prison to compete for her life in a Trial. No one expects much from her, but she surprises herself and everyone around her.
Perfect if you like:
Slow burn romance.
Life threatening trials.
Betrayals and plot twists.
