Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood
Elsie’s side job of fake dating men backfires when she is finally able to land an interview for her dream job as a physicist. Having not really ever cared about STEM, I actually loved the references and the jokes throughout.
I was really into the first half of this book! I did a combination of audio and the physical copy and I preferred the audio. Conflicted thoughts on this book, and I wonder if the Instagram hype was to my detriment. The first half deserves at least 4.5 stars. But at about 57% of the way through it dropped to 2.5 stars.
A few things didn’t work for me, but the biggest problem was the lack of chemistry I felt for Elsie and Jack. I felt like the slow burn was too slow.
Overall, a great audio for laying by the pool, laundry and walks!
