Beach Read by Emily Henry
Such a fun ‘opposites-attract’ read! Probably 3.5 stars rounded up for me. I definitely giggled along with the awkwardness and banter- it is such a perfect escape read. Honestly this book is exactly what it seems to be: a very cute, sweet romance. It’s a cheesy, heartwarming, feel-good book!
The story is about romance writer, January Andrews, and a very serious literary writer, Augustus Everett- who have been long time writing rivals. They find themselves in neighboring beach houses for the summer, each trying to write their next novel. As they get to know each other, they strike a deal to swap genres and whoever sells their manuscript first, wins.
