A rom com about rom coms! This is an adorable YA book about a teenager who will do anything to get her happily ever after with her childhood crush. She begrudgingly enlists the help of her good-looking next door neighbor and learns that maybe she doesn't loathe him as much as she originally thought. She's also dealing with the passing of her mom from her early childhood- so this book is not all sunshine and rainbows.

There's just something about teenage dialogue and high school situations that make you cringe but simultaneously you CAN’T LOOK AWAY! Sooo cringe-y….. but in a good way?? Like we've all been there but sort of want to forget it 😅 (no, just me?). I think the author does a fabulous job with this.

If you are a big rom com fan I think you'll adore this book. The references sprinkled throughout and the chapter headings were such a fun cherry on top. Fun to be a teenager again while reading this! I just wasn't dying to get back to reading it which is why I gave it four stars. I'll definitely be reading the sequel coming out next year though!
